11GWB) Here is an extremely rare Washington, DC Metropolitan Police Inaugural Badge from the 2001 Presidential Inauguration of George W. Bush. The tradition of issuing Inaugural Badges to the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Police began in 1933. They were Official Badges that were given to identify the Police Officers who were involved in Presidential Inaugural Security. They were used during the period surrounding the Inaugural Festivities. This Badge was made by the Blackinton Company, which has been the official maker of these badges since 1933. It is in pristine condition.

They feature a beautiful die struck Presidential Seal in the center with a blue filled rim on which is written "Seal of the President of the United States". President Bush's signature is on the back of each link. They come in a Presidential Blue Box with a gold stamped Presidential Seal on the cover. These cufflinks are exceedingly rare. They are, in fact the first pair that I have had. They are in pristine condition.
