1JFK)Here is an
incredible collection of hand signed and annotated presidential memorabilia
given by President Kennedy to his dear friend, bother in law, and fellow bon
vivant Peter Lawford. Peter Lawford was married to President Kennedy's sister
Patricia. They married on April 24, 1954 in New York City. Lawford then became a
member of the extended Kennedy Family. Lawford and JFK became best friends early
on. Lawford offered JFK an entree into the powerful Hollywood world of the
beautiful people. JFK loved the heady life of that world, and the perks that
came with it. He also garnered considerable financial and political support from
the Hollywood crowd. JFK offered Lawford a seat at the table of the arguably
most powerful man in the world. The relationship was a good one. Lawford
campaigned constantly during all of JFK's political campaigns, doing all he
could do to sway the Hollywood crowd into backing Kennedy. JFK, Lawford,
Jacqueline Kennedy and Patricia Lawford were best friends, and constant
companions. Jacqueline Kennedy remained very close to Lawford even after the
assassination of JFK and subsequent divorce of Lawford and Patricia in 1966.
Included in this collection are many remarkable writings and comments from JFK
to Lawford. Many of them are on books from JFK's private library. Many more are
on books that JFK personally wrote. There are wonderful signed photos and pieces
of inaugural memorabilia. Many of the comments give an extremely interesting
insight into the real JFK, and his opinions of the men who helped shape his
political manifestoes.

Beneath the board is a section in which the Chess pieces nest. Beneath that section is a hidden compartment. There are handles on two sides of the set. On one side of the set is an inset 3" gold plated Presidential Seal. Beneath the Seal is inset John Kennedy's engraved name plate. A letter from Evelyn Lincoln accompanies the set. It was sent after the assassination of President Kennedy. In the letter Mrs. Lincoln thanks the giver and tells him that JFK would want him to have the set back, as both he and the president were avid Chess players. It is a copy from my original 8 X 10" color photo of President Kennedy's casket being carried into the White House to Lie in State. Jacqueline Kennedy is pictured still wearing the blood spattered suit that she wore in Dallas. The President's brother, Robert Kennedy is pictured walking next to Mrs. Kennedy. A Military Honor Guard, representing all branches of the Armed Services, carry the casket. I own the original photograph which was taken by White House photographer Cecil W. Stoughton. art by the Artist Aldo Luongo. It depicts the Three Kennedy Brothers and the

done in 1984 and the Edition was completely sold out many years ago. This was a
specially numbered rendering that was both signed by the artist and includes his
hand written salutation and drawing of the Hawk. The Salutation reads "To Doc
Foley with fond memories of your years in the Kennedy White House." The piece is
numbered X/LXXV. The work is beautifully framed to archival standards and is
ready to hang. The overall dimensions are approximately 40" x 45." This would
make an incredible Holiday Gift for the Kennedy Collector. The Artist's Original
Paintings now frequently sell for six figures.
